You never know when it’s coming. You seldom know how it’s going to happen. But one thing is for sure – it will happen to you. Yes, friends, none of us gets out of this rodeo alive. It’s one thing we all share in this life – death. I doubt too many of us look forward to it and, in truth, it can be very scary to face. But I’ve always thought that one way to deal with something scary is to laugh at it. So, a number of years ago I wrote this tune. I hope it gives you a chuckle.

Step right up, ha-ha-ha, join in the rhyme.
It cannot be beat und it won’t cost a dime.
Take a number und get in line –
Oh, how will you die?

When young und moist we do come to expect
Freedom from worry und time to reflect.
But, if we make it past thirty und five,
Most just thank God they can still stay alive!

When boy und girl at the altar stand up,
Each dreams of draining the marital cup.
But, when the honeymoon fire has burnt out,
Billing und cooing turn out to be shouts!

Step right up, ha-ha-ha, join in the rhyme.
It cannot be beat und it won’t cost a dime.
Take a number und get in line –
Oh, how will you die?
I’ll be drowning, ha-ha!
I’ll be sleeping, ho-ho!
I’ll be choking, hee-hee!
I’ll be kneeling in front of our Lady of Swords!

Now if you are thinking this song is a joke,
Chomping und snorting your poppies und coke.
Next time you write out the child support cheque,
Think of those you’d love to axe in the neck!
